Day 1/Arrival

Arrive in Tbilisi, meet in the airport and transfer to a hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.


Day 2/ Tbilisi City Tour – Aragvi River – Tbilisi

We start our city tour from Metekhi church (13th c) facing the magnificent views over old Tbilisi. Strolling along winding little streets we get to the main sights of the city. We enjoy the panoramic views of the whole city from the ancient Narikala fortress (4th c). Next, we drive to rafting center near Magharoskari. At first, we receive a short safety briefing and demonstration – learning the paddle techniques & commands being used during the descent. Then we start our rafting adventures in the heart of the Caucasus mountains puddling down the Aragvi River. The rout is 15km long and ends in Tvalivi. The river is of 2nd -3rd category so some bumps, riffles, rapids and sharp eddies are expected. Driving back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.


Day 3/ Tbilisi – Kutaisi (Rioni River, Namokhvani waterfall, Oni, Ambrolauri)

Today we go to a challenging white-water rafting trip near Kutaisi, in Racha region Racha is a highland area in western Georgia, located in the upper Rioni river valley and hemmed in by the Greater Caucasus mountains. This region lies 36km from Kutaisi and on the way, we will see beautiful Namokhvani waterfall. After receiving instructions by an IRF certified guide we invite you to an energizing rafting trip on the Rioni River.  We start our rafting trip from Oni situated in a deep gorge on the left bank of Rioni River, some 830m above sea level. The trip leads us to Ambrolauri, covering 30km and taking 3 hours. During the rafting trip, you will have the opportunity to swim in the amazing valley, too (in case of good weather). Depending on the season the difficulty of this rafting trip is 2-5 (medium). Overnight in tents at Camp Shareula or in a family house in Ambrolauri.


Day 4/ Kutaisi (Tvishi Canyon, Prometheus Caves) – Tbilisi

After breakfast we start our rafting trip on Tvishi Canyon. The trip covers 15 km distance and lasts nearly 2 hours. After rafting we depart to Tskaltubo and visit Prometheus Caves. The cave’s history goes back to the Greek myth of Prometheus chained in the Caucasus and the Argonauts’ voyage to Colchis for the Golden Fleece. The cave boasts a wonderful array of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers, and lakes. In case of a wish we can take a boat tour on one of the underground rivers. Afterward we depart to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.


Day 5/Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
